Message from our President:

The members of the Lions Club of Kitchener would like to invite you to join in the fun and fellowship that makes our organization, we feel, the best in the world. With over 1.3 million members in over 45,000 clubs in 206 countries around the world we provide anti-drug and anti-bullying programs through Lions Quest, local volunteerism in each of our communities, vision screening, education, and prevention via our Sight First program, our Dog Guide program for those individuals who can not see, hear, have physical disablilites, seizures and autism and disaster relief in places such as Indonesia, Haiti and Africa. We have and support other programs too numerous to mention but refer you http://www.lionsclubs.org/ for more information.

Through our club’s efforts locally with Oktoberfest, Santa Claus Parade, K-W Citizen of the Year, the annual Magic Show, break open tickets, and many other events, the Lions Club of Kitchener has been able to touch the lives of local athletes and sports groups, assist in diabetes awareness and prevention, and provide services for local youth, both Hospitals Foundations and those in real need. Vision and hearing-impaired children and adults in our community, in Guatemala, and around the world have all been touched by our commitment.

We are proud to wear the Lions pin, proud to serve in the community and unselfish in our commitment to continue to be the “beacon of hope” for many people, not only locally but worldwide.

We meet every first and third Monday of the month between 6 and 7 for social gathering followed by dinner and we are always looking to expand our team of dedicated volunteers. If you think you would enjoy a bit of fun mixed with a whole lot of hard work to help your community, please contact us.

On the right border of every page of our website you will note the logos of a variety of businesses we are in partnership in order to fullfil the dreams we have for our great city. We thank them for allowing us to associate with them.
